之前與其他酒友討論M25皮帶木箱的年份
我在美國看到的是 1971年釀之後好幾年的M25都有帶皮帶的木箱
然而
台灣酒友看到的是皮帶木箱是無年份的M25
心裡覺得奇怪
我就直接問麥卡倫原廠
回答如下。
重點在第三段，
大意如下
＂皮帶木箱是只用在美國市場的75cl雪莉桶M25
世界其他各地是使用無皮帶的木箱
這些木箱是併入麥卡倫後在1996到2001／02使用＂
1996減25就是1971
所以1971帶皮帶木箱的M25
是麥卡倫被併入Edrington集團後在美國使用的

I have enquired about information on this from our technical services team and the below is hopefully the clear answer you were looking for.

The boxes with leather straps were for the USA, 75cl, 25yo Sherry Oak Macallan only. The rest of the world received boxes without straps. These boxes were used from when we acquired Macallan in 1996 until 2001/02.
