Bowmore 2001/2010 9yo 59.1%, IB:SMWS 3.173. Shared bottle from louisli
Color: Dark amber, medium oily.
Aroma: Smoked plum first, sherry, raisin, sandalwood, a little alcohol, smoke, and gunpowder. Compared to another Ledaig 2005 #900008, 3.173 surpasses Ledaig's aroma. However, 3.173 lacks of lemon, tangerine, and peat.
Palate: Tangerine peel first, gunpowder, black peppery, dry longan, sherry, smoked plum, a little salty and malt sweet.
Finish: Medium, tangerine peel, smoke, a little salty, tannic, dry.
Balance and Conclusion: At the first, 3.173 smells like the Japanese Yamazaki CS 55%, but lacks of some island/Islay elements, e.g., peat and sea breeze. It tastes much like Japanese whisky. For a 9 yo whisky, 3.173 is with amazing deep color. Referred to its bts amount - 278 bts, for such a 9 yo sherry whisky , maybe it was aged in an reassembled SMALL SHERRY HOGSHEAD??? and make it be affected much more by its butt. 3.173 is a good young sherry whisky, besides a little influence of gunpodwer and dry tannic. But I like Ledaig 2005 #900008 a little more for its good fusion of sherry and peat.
Color: 深琥珀色，中等油度。
Aroma: 首先是明顯的烏梅味，雪莉、葡萄乾、檀香，一些酒精、煙燻、火藥味。跟Ledaig 2005 #900008比起來， Bowmore 3.173在整個氣味上是屬於濃香型的，離開杯口後我必需吸一些新鮮空氣再去聞Ledaig才能感受到Ledaig的氣味；然而Bowmore 3.173缺少了一些 Ledaig 2005 #900008所擁有的柑橘系香味以及泥煤味。
Palate: 橘皮苦味走在前面，火藥味、黑胡椒、龍眼乾、雪莉以及烏梅，些許鹽味以及麥甜。
Finish: 中，橘皮苦味、煙燻、一些海鹽、單寧、些微乾澀。
這支酒是從louisli大哥那邊拿來的分享瓶，最近相當搶手熱門，剛拿到手時就有說要跟同樣是菁仔的Ledaig 2005 #900008做一下比較。 也許是有同一個大老板(Suntory)吧，Bowmore 3.173聞起來頗類似前陣子入手的Yamazaki 55%小樣酒(最近同樣相當搶手 XD)，然而這支Bowmore缺少了一些島嶼系/艾雷島的元素，像是泥煤、海風...。入口後它更像是日系whisky；對一支九年份的年輕威士忌而言，Bowmore 3.173是支很黑很黑的黑波摩(亂入...)，不過比照它的裝瓶數目：278瓶，對一桶9年份的sherry桶whisky而言，好像裝得少了些，難道是它是裝在較小型的重組裝sherry hogshead內陳年的嗎？也因此它受到桶子的影響才這麼深？我是亂猜的，這方面有待達人來解說一下。 總的來說，3.173是支不錯的雪莉桶，除了一些火藥味以及單寧澀感。 然而我還是比較喜歡融合了雪莉+泥煤的Ledaig 2005 #900008多了那麼一些些。
