Like their single grain counterparts, most blended grain whiskies are matured in oak (see barrel maturation), which gives them their flavors of vanilla, toffee and cocoa. The most widely known blended grain is perhaps "The Snow Grouse", made by Famous Grouse. Ballantine's and Compass Box have also released blended grain whiskies.
