SilVERADO Cabernet Sauvignon Estate 08 (Decanter5顆星)

擁有鹿躍的葡萄園,酒廠本身也在鹿躍旁邊,成立於1981年由Miller家族所創,來自Napa Valley山頂一個被中止採礦的小鎮,重視terroir,細心照料著每一寸的土地,現在有15%採用有機耕作,70%通過納帕綠色認證,雖然沒什麼名氣但可是道地的納帕,酒質穩定風格細緻香氣奔放且富有層次感,不像一般的美國酒過於甜膩,重點是這個價位可以喝到鹿躍園,錯過了哪裡找~非常值得一試

12 percent Merlot
2 percent Petit Verdot
2 percent Cabernet Franc

39 percent Mt. George Vineyard

Winemaking Notes: The grapes were harvested at an average degree brix of 24.5. Fermentation was conducted in small stainless steel tanks where the wine spent an average of 17 days on the skins. After draining and pressing the must, the wine was put into 59 gallon oak barrels to undergo malolactic fermentation. Forty-two percent of the barrels were new oak, of which thirtyfive percent were French oak and five percent were American oak, overall blend – 93% French oak, 7% American.

Tasting Notes: Showcasing the best of our two Cabernet Sauvignon vineyards that define our Napa Valley blend. Lovely dark red color. Ripe black cherry, earth and dried herb aromas. Medium to full body with dense fruit and oak flavors. Chewy, but balanced tannin. Young!
